For the past couple months I’ve been engineering some sessions for this project with MIDCOAST MOST emcee/producer Eddie Logix, and UNITED STATES OF MIND emcee D.Allie.  The duo just recently decided on their name, and are about to finish the album.

Logix did all the beats and shares the mic with D.Allie, and they have a great chemistry.  I’m really excited for this project b/c these are two people who are incredibly talented, and are family.  I’d just as much want to grab a beer with either of these guys as much as work on music.  Both MCM & USM have been cool with us overall for a couple years now, and I’m really proud of the album they’re putting together.

I have no idea when they’re going to release the album, but wanted to touch base on this.

Music I’ve Been Listening To

For most of 2009 I haven’t really dove into a lot of hip hop.  I’ve been trying to find myself encapsulated in the perfect back drop.  Sometimes certain songs or artists do that for me, and I can listen to their whole catalog.  Anyways, I’ve been listening to this stuff:

Underoath, Thrice, The-Dream, Joe Budden, Matthew Good, A.M., Genesis, Thursday, The Almost, USM, COLD, Guilty Simpson, Apollo Brown,  Mat Kearney, & Jimmy Eat World.

My mood has been full of ups and downs lately, but I haven’t been more satisfied with myself in terms of being creative and really believing that I was put here to make music.  Everything else is second.  Living A Nightmare, Chasing The Dream gets me so excited b/c I don’t think there’s ever been an album like ours released.

We are so proud of this album, and where we’ve come from amidst our musical journey.  I am getting everything in gear, and hoping to get some nice promotion behind our album thru word of mouth.  Is it ridiculous to think an album can catch a buzz sheerly based on it being good?  Some people are looking out for our record and we’re trying to keep everything moving, and hopefully get some out of state shows together.

My computer might have fixed itself, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.  There will be some videos of us talking about Living A Nightmare to be put up shortly.  Holler @ your people and watch us rock the Old Miami on Fri. April 3rd.

A.Biggs the mastermind behind USM always does the fly online flyer shit…I didn’t know if it was going to work, and voila!  That’s the flyer.

We’re getting Living A Nightmare, Chasing The Dream mastered over the weekend, and hope to have it back soon after that.  We’re trying to line up all of our proverbial ducks, but the album will be out soon.
