Thanks Chi-Town

|

Without making this post too long, we just wanted to say THANK YOU to everybody who came out to Goodbar on Saturday.  The place was more packed than we even expected, and the vibe was healthy.  It was great seeing many of you who we haven’t been in contact with in quite some time, and look forward to coming back to Chicago to perform.  We especially want to thank:

G & Leslie for housing us

Revolver Clothing for help with promotion and free gear

Goodbar for accomidating us

D Fucking Ball for driving all the way from Kansas City just to see his buds.

ATMOSPHERE is a ten letter word.

One of our favorite groups, Atmosphere, played @ Royal Oak Music Theatre this past Monday, and we loved the show…again.  I think we’ve seen them around four times a piece, and they never disappoint.  Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to the Berkley Front for the official after party to see our  good friend SKRAPZ perform, but we’re positive he killed it.

A.M. Not Performing @ Berkley on 12/5.  Show still going on.

Due to our show @ the Magic Bag the week after, we are unable to perform @ the Front.  They don’t want acts performing within a week or so of their own events, and we unfortunately had to cancel.  We will still be in attendance to promote MIDCOAST MOST, USM, & DANTE, but will not be performing.

That’s all I can think of right now without going into too much detail.  We’re consistantly getting downloads for Lucky # 13, so keep passing along the site.  Thanks again to everyone who made our show in Chicago a success.

Saturday is the day…

Chicago, Illinois here we come!  Just a friendly reminder to everyone that we’ll be playing @ Goodbar Saturday night.  They have $30 wristbands that are ALL YOU CAN DRINK from 10PM-1AM, so if you’re in the area that’s almost a better reason for coming out than seeing A.M. rock the spot. Thanks to G, Revolver Clothing, & Jon/Gary @ Goodbar for setting everything up.

It’ll be nice for us to dip out of state even for just the weekend.  Sometimes just staying in the same place for so long gives me some sort of jaded perspective about my job, life, career, etc. and think Chicago will be a humbling experience for us.  I’m trying to keep my stress level relatively low, but I’m sure it’ll jump @ any potential negative incident so I’m going to try to stay positive.  Jimmy is the official Road Manager;  hopefully he won’t lose all of our merch.  JK big fella.  Tony also quit smoking on his 25th Bday (Last Sat.) and I’m trying to keep him on the straight and narrow.

See you in the Chi or when we get back.  There will be video of the show and our weekend in the city.  It’ll be nice to see some people that we haven’t seen in a while.  Holla til then.

More…we need more…get it…more…shows

A.M. @ Magic Bag, Friday, Dec. 12

That’s right, your boys are headed to the Magic Bag Friday, December 12.  This is probably my favorite venue in Michigan other than St. Andrew’s to see a show, and we’re very excited to be playing here.  The Magic Bag has been voted “Best Venue” countless times in Real Detroit, and was just voted “Best Sound” in Metro Times latest issue.

This is also the home of Ferndale’s infamous Brew & View in which you can get hammed and catch the latest fav’s and cult classics.  The Mega 80s (AKA M-80s) have residency @ Magic Bag also playing the BEST 80s covers I have ever heard.

A.M. will be performing along with good friend D.Allie, Chief, Street Justice, & Pony Boy.  A flyer and additional information will be up shortly.  We’re incredibly excited for this show!  21+, $5.  The Magic Bag is located in Ferndale @ 9Mile & Woodward.

 A.M. @ Berkley Front, Friday, Dec. 5

This is going to be a great warm up show to the Magic Bag the following Friday, and a good way to catch us singing holiday songs if you can’t see us anytime soon.  I can’t count how many times I’ve expressed our love for the Front, and are always happy to rock for $2 brews.

A.M. + Midcoast Most are definites for the event.  Flyer and more information will be up shortly.  21+, $5.  The Berkley Front is located in Berkley @ W. 12 Mile & Coolidge.  (When Coolidge is West of Woodward.)

About A Week Out

Chicago is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!  Just tying up some loose ends before we head out.  We’re trying to get our Tour Manager Eddie to go, but he’s up in the air.  It looks like a Mr. Lane might be filling in, or perhaps will be playing Drama in this upcoming adventure.

The world is fucked right now, so enjoy whatever it is about life that you like.

 Album Update

Living A Nightmare… is for the most part finished.  We are still working on arrangement of the album and final touch ups to some songs.  We’re not rushing the album b/c we want everything to be as fantastic as we’ve been known to be.

SHIRTS

It’s true, we’re going to have some shirts available soon.  If you’re interested in pre-ordering a shirt hit us up @ abrasivemethod@gmail.com

CHICAGO Sat. 10/25/08 @ Goodbar (Downtown Chi)

We will have a flyer for the show @ Goodbar in the next few days.  Anybody who knows anybody please pass along the event.  We’re trying to get as many people as possible to attend the show so we can keep coming back to the Land Of Lincoln.  It’s 21+, and $30 ALL YOU CAN DRINK (the good shit) from 10PM-1Am.  If you do how we do you’re up about $50 bucks.Â
