This past Friday my GF Megan and myself had the honor of attending Everlast’s show @ The Magic Stick. We’re both huge fans of him, and were incredibly excited to see him; especially after he cancelled his tour in July b/c his album, Love, War, & The Ghost Of Whitey Ford got pushed back until Sept. 23.Â
He put on a great show and Meg couldn’t be more happy to see him. There weren’t a lot of people there, but that didn’t seem to bother him, and he seemed truly greatful for everyone who came out. More or less he did mostly newer shit including his DOPE cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” but did throw in a couple of his classics like “What It’s Like” “Ends” & “Black Jesus.” I’m sure he felt this was a better show than his last appearance which is when he got rushed off the stage @ St. Andrew’s after his Eminem comment. Some people just don’t know about the D, but I’m sure he knew this time.
BLUE COLLAR GENTLEMEN
An event put on by United States Of Mind/Boombox Ent. was going on the same night as the Everlast show @ the Old Miami, and since we were downtown we stopped in to grab a brew and shoot the shit for a minute.  One of A.M.’s first shows was @ the Old Miami, and we want to give a big shout out to them for never checking our IDs when we were underage getting wrecked. I believe this is going to be a last Friday of every month event there, and it’s FREE so get out there and support good music, and people on the grind.Â
