Our video interview hosted by Uncle P of www.detroitrap.com is available for that very site right now. We are @ the top of the page; the interviews in three parts. Even Robbie learned something new about us and he’s like a super die hard A.M. fan.Â
Speaking of that guy Robbie, I just got off the phone with him, and he is going to also post the video @ AM.com so people who are lazy can just click and view. Let’s all wish him a nice recovery from his hangover.
Huey Lewis @ Freedom Hill
It was a must for us to check out the legend, Huey Lewis & The News @ Freedom Hill this past Thursday (8/28). Never been to Freedom Hill before and the best way to describe it is exactly like DTE without some amenities like Big Screen TVs for lawn viewing, and being rather quiet as it’s located in a residential area (Sterling Heights.) Not corporate and helping out other Michigan companies like Nino Salvaggio or Big Boy is unifying us and that can’t hurt our economy right?Â
Show started off before with plenty of beer and whatnot. Got to the show and drank some more. Drank, drank, drank while this random cover band opened, but they were pretty decent. Got a couple more brews, and on came Huey and his gang, The News.
He played for roughly two hours, and always puts on a good show. It’s more or less the songs they decide to play which effects my personal experience. Tony and I have both seen this amazing artist two times prior, and hold his show to the highest standards one could ask from a man in his mid 50s.Â
Always a good show, but he didn’t really play any of my JAMS. You know the song that makes you go, ‘Hell yeah, I love this fucking song!’ Then chug the rest of your drink only to realize you’re now going to have to miss part of the show to get another one. Nonetheless, I caught myself grabbing more beverages than expected because the set wasn’t as great as I hoped for. The show was still great and we had great company. I’ll definately see another show @ Freedom Hill, and can’t wait until next summer to see Huey redeem his set with my favs. Holler back Will, Jessie, Linds, Meg, & Jimmy. Chea.
Huey Also has a song on the Pineapple Express soundtrack which is so choice with exquisite taste.
DONE WITH HUEY LEWIS
Lucky # 13 DLs
We’ve been getting several downloads each day which is really dope. To me @ least it means that people are actually seeking out our music, and stopping by to check out the site which is our overall goal. There’s been a lot of good feedback about the album, and it makes us very excited for everybody to check out Living A Nightmare… when it drops in Winter.Â
Living A Nightmare Update
The album is officially finished being recorded. 90 % of the music is completely finished, with a couple songs needing some finishing touches. We’re now in the stage of putting together the album before mastering. We want to make each song stand out individually, as well as making the record a complete, and thorough listen. \
Chi-Town
Your boys A.M. will be playing our first show ever in Chicago Saturday, October 27 @ Goodbar in Downtown Chicago. The people @ Revolver Clothing www.rrclothing.com were kind enough to let us be involved with the promotion of their line, and we will be rocking this spot. We are incredibly happy to make our way back to the Land Of Lincoln, and get heard even more. Additional information will be soon. The date is official though, so get ready to check your boys out; it’ll be nice to see a lot of faces we haven’t in a while!
I’m just getting back from Traverse City with the gf, and it’s about time for me to pass out. Hit us up @ AM.com, myspace.com/abrasivemethod or facebook and let us know what you think about Lucky # 13. Thanks for checking us out. Holla.

a couple of thoughts and clarifications:
DTE is owned by Andiamo’s.
Although Huey has the Pineapple Express Lead song on the soundtrack, there other amazing artists on the soundtrack aswell.
Cypress Hill
Public Enemy
Bell Biv DeVoe
Peter Tosh
Robert Palmer
and Bone Thugs N Harmony
(thank you Amazon)
I feel that Freedom Hill is a better venue than DTE, its smaller, the sound is better… Huey didn’t wail like he usually does, but trust me the sound is better than the shit show at DTE.
just my thoughts and views people.
peace.
